WELCOME TO THE PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The Palm Beach International Film Festival, celebrating its seventh year in 2002 has enjoyed a remarkable level a success to date. While competing on a national level with over 300 similar events and internationally with the same level of competition, PBIFF has created a special niche within the film industry. Whether PBIFF is hosting acclaimed celebrities at the world renowned Boca Raton Resort & Club Awards Gala Show, showcasing world & U.S. premieres in our countywide theater or honoring the achievements of student filmmakers, the festival has certainly captured the media spotlight. Documented worldwide coverage of passed festivities has been valued at over $4.7 million with an average of 57+ impressions on an annual basis.

The Palm Beach International Film Festival celebrates both the history and the future of the industry with seven days of world premieres, special events, feature and short films, documentaries, seminars, as well as an acclaimed student showcase.

Unlike many festivals around the country, the PBIFF has dedicated itself into making a difference in the lives of young people by helping to fulfill their dreams in the world of film. Net proceeds generated each year go to the Palm Beach County Schools to provide new technologies for optimal learning in the form of grants and scholarships.

Each year the PBIFF continues to strive toward its goal of being a significant player in the industry as well as a cultural and tourist attraction for Palm Beach County. The festival quickly becomes a source for film bookers for many of the major movie theater circuits to come and screen movies to showcase in their theaters across the country.

Through it's sixth year history the PBIFF has hosted a bevy of international celebrities and filmmakers including: Tommy Lee Jones, Jacqueline Bisset, Richard Zanuck, William Friedkin, Jean Becker, Roger Moore, Ann Margaret, Sylvester Stallone, Esther Williams, Burt Reynolds, Michael Caine, Anouk Aimee, Salma Hayek, Samuel L. Jackson and Cyd Chaisse just to name a few. The 2002 festival will continue this annual tradition of honoring film legends of yesterday and today with a focus on building our filmmakers of tomorrow.
