film synopsis

Based on the PeaceJam Program, the film is a harrowing and intimate look at the lives of five American teenagers growing up in a culture of violence, and the transformation that occurs when their lives are touched by both greatness and evil. Their stories are often funny and sometimes tragic. Always edgy and real, they will both move and shock you. The film also contains never-before-seen footage of eleven leading Nobel Peace Prize Laureates working with youth in the USA, South Africa, India, Guatemala, and Costa Rica, and rare footage from inside Columbine High School both during and after the shootings. Featuring: Rudy Balles, Jes Ward, Richard Castaldo, Shannon Myers, Shelby Myers and featuring The Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Jody Williams, Dr. Oscar Arias, Aung San Suu Kyi, Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Adolfo Perez Esquivel, Jose Ramos-Horta, Bishop Carlos Belo, and Betty Williams
