film synopsis

Disenchanted with life in the advertising world of New York City, Mark Jaffee sets out on the adventure of his life, to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in his native Africa. En route with Chaga guides, the climbers all discover the meaning of the Chaga phrase "Pole Pole" - or "slowly, slowly'' - which refers not only to the outward pace, but also to one's inner disposition of taking one step at a time on the mountain as well as in their western lives.
