A personal and often bittersweet tapestry told through the eyes of a generation of boys from working class families who grew up together in one park near Coney Island. Now in their 50's, the six major characters describe their lives in the most honest, humorous and dramatic ways; beginning with the innocence of the 1950's to their first addiction, basketball, through the turmoil and challenges of war, draft, sex, drugs and relationships in the 60's to the present. Together these characters manage to tell a story of the last 40 years in anything but a familiar way.
