THE PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL UNVEILS OFFICIAL 2002 POSTERCREATED BY RENOWNED SOUTH FLORIDA ARTIST BRUCE HELANDERWho: Event hosted by Bruce Helander and Commissioner Burt Aaronson What: Unveiling of Official 2002 Festival Poster When: Monday, April 1 at 6:30pm Where: Helander Studios Directions: I-95 to Okeechobee Boulevard Exit. Travel east toward Downtown W. Palm Beach. Take a left at South Rosemary into City Place. Studios are located at the corner of Fern across from the New Publix. West Palm Beach, FL: Bruce Helander Palm Beach's Internationally renowned artist will unveil the Official 2002 Palm Beach International Film Festival Poster during a cocktail reception at his own Helander Studios. This year marks the seventh consecutive annual design created by Bruce Helander of The Palm Beach International Film Festival poster. Bruce Helander is an internationally recognized collage artist, whose work is represented in over forty museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The artist has created poster designs for the Washington Opera, the United Nations and the Boston Film Festival, among others. Recently Mr. Helander had an audience with Pope John Paul II, who received a collage for the Vatican's collection. Later this year Helander is scheduled to meet President Bush in a White House ceremony where the President will be presented with two original Helander patriotic collages for the Smithsonian Institution on behalf of the nation. The 7th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival takes place April 11-18, 2002. Screenings of over 60 American and foreign independent films, documentaries, shorts and large format films will provide entertainment for all ages. Films will be shown at six theater venues from Boca Raton to Jupiter providing all Palm Beach County residents convenient locations to attend the festival.
