What does it really take to get a movie from brain to screen? Find out what goes into film production - from writing to greenlight, financing to casting, location scouting to "ACTION!" Behind the scenes of filmmaking from the people who make it happen.

John C. Hall, Founder & CEO Retinue Media / Your Hollywood Pro
John has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. He's served as a television and theatrical producer, published author, and seasoned studio executive. He's worked on the marketing and distribution campaigns for over 250 theatrical releases including major franchise titles, Oscar winners, and dozens of mega-blockbusters.

His passion for the screen carries over onto the stage as he was a producer of Macbeth on Broadway starring Alan Cumming, an award-winning and critically acclaimed production that enjoyed a successful run at the Ethel Barrymore theatre in New York. Currently, he's involved in the new Broadway musical production The Bridges of Madison County and the West End revival production of Blithe Spirit starring Angela Lansbury.

He is an accomplished entrepreneur as Co-Founder of, a unique mentorship portal that lets aspiring filmmakers connect with established entertainment industry veterans for one-on-one meetings. He also serves as an advisor for the Simple Deal mobile app that changes the way businesses connect with consumers at the exact moment a buying decision is being made.

His altruistic side motivates him to serve on multiple charity boards and as a Jury Member at several renowned international film festivals.

Ric Reitz, Partner, Georgia Entertainment Credits, Actor, Writer and Producer
Ric is an actor, writer, composer, director, and producer, who has been active in show business for more than 35 years. He is a current member of Actor's Equity Association, the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists, BMI, the Directors Guild of America, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild, the Recording Academy, and the Writers Guild of America.

Ric has appeared in over 100 national television shows, feature films, and stage productions. He is also president of Ric Reitz Writes, Inc., a 27-time international award-winning writing company, president and manager of Sir Fir Enterprises, LLC, an award-winning children's book and music entertainment publishing company, and a partner in Georgia Entertainment Credits, LLC.

Avery Corman, Author, Writer, and Producer
Avery Corman is the author of the novel Kramer vs. Kramer. His other novels include Oh, God!, The Old Neighborhood, 50, Prized Possessions, and A Perfect Divorce, among others. Foreign language editions of his novels have been published throughout the world. A native New Yorker, Mr. Corman gifted to the City of New York a restored basketball court in his childhood schoolyard that became a catalyst for the creation of the City Parks Foundation. He has served on the foundation's board since its inception in 1989. Mr. Corman was never divorced; he was married for 37 years until his wife's passing in 2004. Judy Corman, a vice president at Scholastic, masterminded the publicity for the launch and subsequent publication of the Harry Potter books. Their two sons are Matt, Co-Creator/Executive Producer/Head Writer of ABC's Covert Affairs, and Nick, who works in business development in Silicon Valley.
