School teacher Mirabai left her urban lifestyle to teach in Kutch, Gujurat. When she witnesses growing illness among the village children from a pre-paid water meter, she is forced to take action. Nia, an ambitious executive, represents the interests of the water corporation. When Nia finds herself in need of drinking water without a pre-paid card, both women confront the horror of this system.
