Don't Let Me Drown

It's October 2001 and New York is still reeling from the Trade Center attacks when Lalo and Stefanie meet. Stefanie has recently moved to Brooklyn from the Lower East Side, where her family lived until the death of her sister in the attacks. Lalo's father works at Ground Zero cleaning up debris. It's not long before this new relationship runs into trouble. But their bond only grows stronger as they realize that in a time full of fear and hate, only love can help them pull through the hard times and keep their heads above water.
