Celebrity appearances were abundant during the 7th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival. Academy Award Winner Anthony Hopkins (Silence of The Lambs, Red Dragon), film legend James Whitmore (Battleground), film star Edward Norton (Leap of Faith, Red Dragon), and one of Hollywood's Hottest Director's Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 1 & 2, The Family Man, Red Dragon) were honored at the Grand Gala Awards Show held at Boca Raton Club and Resort. Actress Rebecca Gayheart received an award for her Directorial Debut of Daphne & Me. Sally Struthers, Al Sapienza, and film producer Suzanne DeLaurentiis attended the festival's Opening Night film and Reception for A Month of Sundays. Shiri Appleby, Larissa Oleynik, Lynn Whitfield, and Anton Yelchin attended the Friday Night Premiere and Party of their film A Time for Dancing.

The first year for the Digital Cinema Showcase proved to be highly successful as it provided an opportunity for students and the community to view original films and discuss them with the filmmakers in an intimate setting. The Showcase also developed a greater awareness of the college and its film program and highly sophisticated technical capabilities. Other filmmakersincluded were Rebecca Gayheart for her directorial debut of Daphne & Me, Celia Fisher's Bottom Feeders, Joseph Camerieri - Producer/Director/Writer of One of Many, Bret Carr - Writer/Director/Star of Two Birds with One Stallone, Jose Garafalo - The Wishing Stone, and over 20 more films and special guests.
